This unique educational business engages youth with hands-on learning activities about the world of marine science. Run by a passionate young marine biologist, Discover Marine Science offers many different programs, covering various marine life topics. Topics include: life in the intertidal zone, marsh habitats, marine mammals, sharks, marine invertebrates, invasive species and more! Several programs involve live animals in a touch tank-style setup, for participants to interact with. Join us as we explore the wonders of the marine world together!
Fall 2013 Homeschool Programs (Schedule & Registration)
Discover Marine Science is offering a 6-workshop program series this fall in Kingston, MA. Each workshop can accommodate up to 15 participants, ages 6 and up. Younger non-participating children are welcome to tag along with an adult. The cost of each workshop is $375.00, to be split among the participants. At the maximum of 15 participants, the cost for each participant is $25.00. Each workshop will be a different marine science topic. Due to high interest, each workshop will be offered twice: Tuesday and Wednesday of the same week. Discover Marine Science’s programs involve hands-on activities, games and crafts relevant to the topic. Many of the programs involve live animals in a touch-tank setup. All programs are held at the Jones River Landing Environmental Heritage Center (55 Landing Road) in Kingston, MA. All programs are 3 hours long, and run 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM. Register online here.

Discover Marine Science offers 9 2.5-hour programs through the Town of Kingston’s Recreation Department. Programs are for children ages 6 and up. All programs are held at the Jones River Landing Environmental Heritage Center in Kingston, MA. Register online here.
Meet the Instructor
Christina Guidoboni is a 2nd-year marine biology graduate student with a strong academic background in biology and marine science and has taken courses in various related fields. She is actively pursuing a career in science education. She has several years experience supervising middle school, high school and college students in marine science and thoroughly enjoys working with students in this field. She has been maintaining aquaria and saltwater organisms for 10+ years.
