KINGSTON – The Jones River Watershed Association continues its efforts to seek funding to give fish a boost up river to Silver Lake with the overall goal of giving new life to the area’s ecosystem by improving water quality.
The Jones River Watershed Association (JRWA) has applied for a $659,000 National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration grant with the support of the Board of Selectmen.

“The purpose of the change is to support and sustain fish migration, habitat improvement and water quality improvements to the Jones River,” JRWA Executive Director Pine duBois said.
