Cape Cod Bay Watch will be hosting a booth at the second annual Pine Fest celebration that is being held from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM at Charge Pond Campground Pavilion in Myles Standish State Forest, Saturday, May 30th. See below for the full event flyer.
There will be many vendors and local organizations at the event. There will be opportunities to shoot a bow and arrow, paddle a kayak, ride an Icelandic pony, hike with a forest ranger, learn the secrets of making charcoal, hone your skills baking bread in a campfire – and so much more! There will be games, arts and crafts, demonstration, food and music. And all of this is being offered on the banks of beautiful Charge Pond in Myles Standish State Forest.
Pine Fest will be easy to find. Just enter Myles Standish State Forest and then follow the Pitch Pine signs to Charge Pond. There’ll be plenty of free parking.
If you like, you can spend the night. Camping will be open and reservations are available through ReserveAmerica.com.
Pine Fest is sponsored by the Southeastern Pine Barrens Alliance and the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation through the generosity of the Massachusetts Cultural Councils of the towns of Duxbury, Lakeville, Middleborough, Plympton, Rochester, Plymouth and Wareham.
