Newton Dialogues on Peace and War is hosting “Facing Our Nuclear Responsibilities” in honor of International Day of Peace. The event will feature a panel of speakers, a Q&A session, and literature and actions that people can take will be made available.

Dr. Helen Caldicott: Renowned Activist, Nobel Peace Prize Nominee, Founder of Physicians for Social Responsibility and Women’s Action for Nuclear Disarmament, and Author of “The New Nuclear Danger” and “Nuclear Power is Not the Answer.”
Dr. Caldicott will be followed by three panelists, including Anna Baker (Pilgrim Coalition), Diane Turco (Cape Downwinders), and Guntram Mueller (Chairman of Mass. Peace Action). Panelists will discuss:
- Our nuclear arsenals and their costs, and
- Status of the Pilgrim Nuclear Power Station: nuclear waste storage issue, impacts to the environment, and more.
