Tell Congress to Restore Endangered Species Act Protections
Recently the US Fish and Wildlife Service and the National Marine Fisheries Service altered their regulations to remove the definition of “harm” in relation to the Endangered Species Act. In doing so, they set the grounds for rescinding protection on critical habitat which endangered species rely upon. A group of non-profits represented by Earth Justice have filed suit to appeal this decision based on the reasoning that you cannot restore and protect endangered species if their habitat is destroyed.
To aid in these efforts, the environmental non-profit Beyond Pesticides is asking citizens to reach out to their congressional delegation to tell them that these rule changes related to an established and successful law are unacceptable.
