The Jones River Watershed Association’s 20th annual herring count begins April 1st, and we’re hoping for a big volunteer push this year to honor two decades of monitoring herring in the Jones. To support new counters, or answer questions from long standing volunteers, we will be hosting two in-person herring count training sessions. If you are unable to make either session, feel free to stop in at Jones River Landing and ask your questions during standard business hours - someone will usually be there.
